Dahlia 'Bacardi' – color gradient from warm pink to raspberry red
Dahlia 'Bacardi' is a decorative dahlia that stands out for its unique interplay of colors. The petals open in a warm coral pink and gradually fade to a dark raspberry center. This subtle transition gives each flower a layered depth and an almost painterly appearance. The flowers average 12 cm in diameter and stand upright on stems of approximately 90 to 100 cm.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Bacardi' blooms from midsummer until the first frost, producing an abundance of flowers. Its color gradient from warm pink to dark raspberry will quickly make you a fan and encourage you to creatively combine it with other dahlia varieties. Thanks to its strong stems and generous blooms, this dahlia is also excellent as a cut flower.
Location and care
This dahlia thrives in full sun and requires well-drained, fertile soil. Plant the tubers in spring 30 to 50 centimeters apart and only a few centimeters deep, with the old stem just above the ground. Keep the soil moist, especially during dry spells. Regularly removing faded flowers will prolong flowering. After the first frost, you can dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or in mild winters, leave them in the ground with a protective layer of mulch.
