Dahlia 'Buttercup' is a soft, yellow-vanilla pompom dahlia. Its delicate flowers, about 5cm wide, create a playful look in a romantic, soft color palette. Its bright yellow, perfectly round pompom flowers resemble tiny glowing orbs of light dancing above the dark green foliage.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Buttercup' blooms endlessly from early summer until the first frost. Despite its small size (about 5 cm wide), it's impressively productive. The compact, pompom-shaped flowers remain firm on their long stems, even in wind and rain. Cut them for vases, and they'll continue to shine for a long time, bringing a touch of sunshine into your home.
Location and care
This dahlia thrives in full sun in a spot with well-drained, fertile soil. It grows with beautiful, long flower stems to a height of about 90 cm. After the first frost, it's best to dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with mulch during mild winters.
