The Dahlia 'Caramel Antique' is one of those flowers you can't stop looking at. Its base is bright white, with soft notes of vanilla and champagne. As the flower ages, it transforms into a warm, soft cream. A play of colors that never gets old and gives your garden a constantly changing atmosphere.
Flowering and growth
'Caramel Antique' is an early bloomer and provides an abundance of flowers all summer long. Flowers about 10 to 12 cm wide appear on long, sturdy stems. They are ideal for bouquets and last a long time in a vase. The more often you prune them, the more new flowers they produce.
Location and care
After the last frost, plant the tubers in a sunny spot in well-drained, fertile soil. Plant them about four inches deep, leaving plenty of room between them to grow. Regular watering during dry spells will help them bloom even more profusely. In winter, you can dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place. In mild winters, a thick layer of mulch is often sufficient.
