Dahlia 'Crème de Cassis' – soft lilac with a deep purple heart
The Dahlia 'Crème de Cassis' is a decorative small dahlia that opens into bloom. Its petals have a soft lilac hue on top, while the underside is a deep purple. Combined with its dark center, they create a beautiful contrast that instantly adds character to your garden. They are sturdy, medium-sized flowers, about 12 to 15 cm across, that continue to bloom all summer long.
Flowering and growth
As soon as summer arrives, Dahlia 'Crème de Cassis' produces an abundance of flowers on a sturdy stem. If you prune the flowers regularly, she will continue to bloom until the first frost.
Location and care
A sunny spot and well-drained soil are all it takes to make this dahlia shine. Plant the tubers after the last frost, about 10cm deep, and with plenty of space. Water them thoroughly during dry spells and remove spent flowers to extend the flowering season. After the season, dig up the tubers or protect them with mulch during mild winters.
