Dahlia 'Dusty Beauty' lives up to its name. Its flowers are a soft sandy color that gradually fades into dusky pink combined with warm coffee tones. As the flower matures, the hue deepens and intensifies, giving it a vintage charm not often found in dahlias. With a flower diameter of approximately 13 cm and a high flower production, this dahlia provides an abundance of color all summer long.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Dusty Beauty' is a prolific bloomer that continues to produce new flowers from early summer until the first frost. The more you pick, the more buds you'll get. The flowers stand tall on sturdy stems, making them not only eye-catching in the border but also a beautiful cut flower.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny spot. Plant them about 10 cm deep and allow plenty of space for the plant to develop properly. Regular watering and removing spent flowers will help prolong flowering. In winter, you can dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or in mild winters, leave them in the ground and cover them with a thick layer of straw.
