Dahlia 'Edge of Joy' – playful flowers full of color and life
Dahlia 'Edge of Joy' is a flower that literally brings life back to your garden. Its almost white petals have a soft pink tint and are edged with a striking dark purple-pink border. At its center, a sunny yellow heart glows, bursting with nectar, making it a magnet for bees and butterflies.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Edge of Joy' blooms from summer until late autumn with an abundance of flowers. Each flower is about 10 cm across and stands firmly on upright stems, surrounded by fresh, dark green foliage. The more flowers you cut, the more it produces. At 70 cm tall, it also looks beautiful in a large flowerpot.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny spot. Plant them about 10 cm deep and give the plants about 40 cm of space between them. Provide extra water in dry weather and remove spent flowers to prolong flowering. In winter, dig the tubers out of the ground and store them frost-free, or protect them with a layer of straw in mild winters.
