Dahlia 'Evanah' – soft shades of pink and lilac with a cloud-like effect
Dahlia 'Evanah' is a real eye-catcher in the garden. Its medium-sized flowers, about 15cm wide, have a playful color gradient. Pale pink after opening, fading to darker shades of pink and lilac, finally reaching almost white at the petal tips. Its loose, airy shape gives it a dreamy, cloud-like appearance, instantly adding a romantic touch to your border.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Evanah' blooms profusely from midsummer until the first frost. The plant grows to about 120cm tall and has fresh green foliage that creates a beautiful contrast with its light, dreamy flowers. Thanks to the sturdy, long stems, the flowers are not only beautiful in the border but also perfect as cut flowers. The more you cut them, the more buds will return.
Location and care
Plant the corms after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny location. Plant them about 10 cm deep and allow sufficient space for the plant to develop properly. Provide extra water during dry spells and cut off spent flowers to prolong flowering. In winter, dig up the corms and store them frost-free, or protect them with a layer of mulch in mild winters.
