Dahlia 'Fairway Pilot' – enormous soft pink flowers
Dahlia 'Fairway Pilot' is a dahlia you won't easily overlook. Its flowers can reach up to 25 cm in diameter and are a soft salmon pink with subtle coral tones. The flower shape is open and full, and they face upward, like a water lily. Perfect for those who love large flowers with a soft, romantic appearance.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Fairway Pilot' blooms from summer until the first frost and is known for its enormous flowers. Each plant produces several of these giant flowers on sturdy, long stems. This makes it not only a striking addition to the border but also a beautiful cut flower.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil and give them a sunny spot. Plant them about 10 cm deep, leaving plenty of space between plants. Provide extra water during dry spells and regularly prune dead flowers to prolong flowering. You can dig up the tubers in winter and store them frost-free, or protect them with a layer of mulch during mild winters.
