Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Fairway Spur' is a Dinnerplate dahlia and blooms profusely from summer until the first frost. The large flowers grow on sturdy, long stems, making them perfect for cutting. Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil and choose a sunny spot. Plant the tubers about 10 cm deep and give them 40 cm of space to grow. Regular watering helps in dry weather, and removing spent flowers prolongs flowering. In winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with a layer of straw in mild winters.
