Dahlia 'Hapet Pastel' is a ball-shaped dahlia with delicate, soft pastel shades. Its flowers are round and compact, about 12 cm in diameter, held high on sturdy, long stems. The soft color palette of peachy pink and soft buttery yellow gives it a dreamy look and makes it a lovely base for combining with other pastel-colored dahlias.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Hapet Pastel' blooms profusely and for a long time, from summer until the first frost. The plant can grow up to 120 cm tall and bears its flowers on sturdy stems that protrude beautifully above the foliage. It readily produces new buds, so you'll see new flowers appearing all summer long. It also has a long vase life as a cut flower. Cut it regularly and you'll be rewarded with even more blooms.
Location and care
This dahlia prefers a sunny spot in well-drained, fertile soil. Plant the tubers a few centimeters deep after the last frost and give the plants room to develop. During dry spells, some extra water is important to support flowering. Removing spent flowers extends the flowering period and encourages the plant to continue blooming.
