Dahlia 'Honey Dew' is a variety that immediately stands out with its soft colors and perfect flower shape. The flowers, approximately 15 cm across, have peachy pink petals that fade to a soft honey yellow towards the center. The result is a flower that brings warmth and light to the garden. With a height of approximately 100 cm and sturdy stems, it is also a strong and reliable dahlia.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Honey Dew' blooms profusely from summer until late autumn. Each flower stands upright and is beautifully surrounded by a full cluster of fresh green leaves, which makes the flowers stand out even more. The long, strong stems make it ideal for cutting. It stays beautiful in a vase for a long time, and the more often you pick it, the more new flowers the plant will produce.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil. Place them in a sunny spot and water regularly during dry spells. Thanks to their sturdy stems, they require little support. Removing spent flowers prolongs the blooming period and ensures even more flowers in summer and autumn.
