Why you want Dahlia Honka Fragile in your garden

Dahlia 'Honka Fragile' – white star-shaped flower with a pink edge
Dahlia 'Honka Fragile' is one of my favorite dahlias; it shines like a star in your garden. Its subtle and simple design makes it so beautiful. Its narrow white petals are gently folded and edged with a soft pink. At its heart, a golden yellow bloom bursts with nectar, attracting a buzz of bumblebees and honeybees. A valuable and elegant addition to your garden.

Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Honka Fragile' blooms from summer until the first frost with star-shaped flowers about 10 cm across. The plants grow to about 100 cm tall and produce an abundance of flowers that stand firmly on their stems. They attract attention not only with their unusual shape but also with their abundance of pollen. You'll often find bees, butterflies, and sleeping bumblebees in them.

Location and care
Plant the corms after the last frost in well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Water extra during dry spells and remove dead flowers to prolong flowering. The long, strong stems make them wind and rain-resistant and also very suitable for cutting.

Why choose Dahlia 'Honka Fragile'?
Its star-shaped petals create an airy effect in the garden, and its nectar makes it a magnet for bees and butterflies. It's also productive and surprisingly hardy, so you can enjoy it all summer long.

Combination tip
'Honka Fragile' looks beautiful among pastel shades like Dahlia Gerrie Hoek , but also combines well with darker varieties to make its light flowers shine even more.
