Dahlia 'Jowey Frambo' – raspberry colored ball dahlia
Dahlia 'Jowey Frambo' is one of those varieties I can highly recommend. It produces an abundance of perfectly round, spherical flowers all summer long in a vibrant raspberry-coral shade. It's a warm color that combines beautifully with many other dahlias. With its 100cm height and sturdy, long stems, it's also an ideal cut flower. Exactly the kind of dahlia you want in a cutting garden.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Jowey Frambo' blooms profusely and for a long time, from early summer until the first frost. The flowers are about 10 cm across and are tightly composed of countless neatly curled petals. The more often you cut the flowers, the more new buds will appear. Fill your summer with endless raspberry-colored flowers.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil and place them in a sunny spot. Regular watering during dry spells helps the plant remain productive. Removing spent flowers encourages new blooms. In winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with mulch during mild winters.
