Dahlia 'Ka's Cloud' – large flowers in white and soft pink
Dahlia 'Ka's Cloud' is one of those varieties you simply can't forget. Its large flowers, about 20cm across, feature a soft palette of white and very pale pink with a pearlescent sheen. The petals are loosely and airily curled, giving the flowers an almost cloud-like appearance.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Ka's Cloud' is a Dinnerplate dahlia that blooms profusely from summer until the first frost. The plants grow to about 120 cm tall and carry their large flowers firmly on long, strong stems. Regular pruning encourages it to produce new flowers.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil and give them a sunny spot. Because of their large flowers, supporting them with stakes can be helpful. Provide extra water during dry spells and remove dead flowers to prolong flowering. In winter, you can dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with mulch during mild winters.
