Dahlia 'Sturm Sweet Maria' – apricot to soft pink color gradient
Dahlia 'Sturm Sweet Maria' is a new addition to our dahlia range. A soft pastel shade that changes color throughout its blooming period. It opens in warm apricot tones that gradually fade to a soft pastel pink. This subtle color gradient ensures that you discover something new every time you look at its flowers.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Sturm Sweet Maria' produces flowers about 12 cm across on sturdy stems reaching 100 cm tall. It blooms profusely from July until the first frost and continues to produce new buds as soon as you cut off the flowers.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in loose, fertile soil and choose a sunny spot. Water regularly during dry spells. Removing spent flowers encourages flowering and keeps the plant active all summer. In winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with mulch in mild winters.
