Dahlia 'Sweet Nathalie' – soft blush-colored dahlia
Dahlia 'Sweet Nathalie' is one of my favorite varieties, a variety whose color is practically impossible to capture in a photo. Its petals are a soft blush, with a hint of cream in the center, giving it a lovely, dreamy look. It blooms a little later in the season, but once it does, it continues to produce new flowers all summer long.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Sweet Nathalie' is a decorative dahlia with flowers about 12 cm across. The plants grow to about 100 cm tall and produce long, strong stems that are ideal for cut flowers. The more often you cut back the flowers, the more new buds will appear, filling your garden and vases with its soft hues all summer long.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in loose, fertile soil in a sunny spot. Water them extra during dry spells. Removing spent flowers prolongs flowering and encourages new blooms. In winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with a thick layer of mulch in mild winters.
