Dahlia 'Sweet Suzanne' – pastel peach cream-colored dahlia
Dahlia 'Sweet Suzanne' boasts a beautiful, warm, summery color palette. Its rounded petals have a soft peach-cream hue, fading to a creamy yellow toward the center. The subtle interplay of colors combined with the lovely round, pom-pom-shaped flowers makes it a lovely addition and a perfect base for combining with other pastel-colored dahlias.
Growth and flowering
Dahlia 'Sweet Suzanne' blooms from July until the first frost, producing flowers about 10 cm across. The plants grow to about 100 cm tall and produce an abundance of flowers on long, sturdy stems. This makes it an excellent cut flower that stays beautiful in a vase for a surprisingly long time. The more often you cut it, the more flowers it produces.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in loose, fertile soil and give them a sunny spot. During dry weeks, provide extra water so the plant retains the energy to continue flowering. By removing spent flowers, you extend flowering well into autumn. In winter, you can dig up the tubers and store them frost-free, or protect them with a thick layer of mulch in mild winters.
