Dahlia 'Tutu' has bright white flowers in a beautiful cactus shape. A simple color that really shines when paired with other dahlia varieties. The best thing about dahlias is combining all the different shapes and colors, and this dahlia is the perfect canvas for that.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Tutu' produces large flowers, approximately 18 cm in diameter, that stand firmly on long, slender stems. The plants grow to approximately 120 cm tall and bloom from summer until the first frost. It's a robust variety that blooms profusely and, with regular pruning, encourages continued blooming. This makes it not only an attractive addition to the border but also an excellent cut flower.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny spot. They appreciate some extra water during dry weeks. Remove dead flowers to ensure continued flowering well into autumn. In winter, you can dig up the tubers and store them in a frost-free place, or protect them with a layer of mulch during mild winters.
